Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality removed the collapsed stone wall in İzmit Fatih District Şairane Street and started construction of a new one. During the continuation of the works initiated against a possible landslide danger, Koçal Street was closed to traffic and signs and precautions were taken for drivers and pedestrians.
Stone wall excavation works and slope cleaning have started on the street, which will remain closed until May 18.
Within the scope of the 350 cubic meters of excavation work, 200 cubic meters of fill, 530 cubic meters of stone walls, 30 meters of panels and fences will be manufactured. With the work to be done, the stone wall that is dangerous and likely to cause accidents will be demolished and a new one will be built in its place.
