Our table olive exports increased by 7% in terms of amount compared to the previous season, rising from 172 million dollars to 184 million dollars. In the 1/2022 olive oil export season, which started on November 23; We exported to 118 countries, our total olive oil exports increased by 8% in amount, from 58 thousand tons to 150 thousand tons, and in amount, increased by 259%, from 201 million dollars to 723 million dollars.” said.

Despite the bulk and barrel export restrictions imposed at the end of July, I wholeheartedly congratulate all our members who contributed to this increase and thank them for their contributions to our industry. “We aim to increase this figure to 1,5 billion dollars in the next few years and to 2028 billion dollars in 2.” he said.

OUR OLIVE EXPORTS INCREASED TO 114 MILLION DOLLARS

Davut Er said, “When we look at the data for the 2023/24 season we are in, we see that our table olive exports increased in amount compared to the previous season, from 31 million dollars to 2024 million dollars, as of March 96, 114. When we look at the data of the first 31 months of the olive oil export season as of March 2024, 5, we regretfully see that it decreased by 62% in quantity from 81 thousand tons to 31 thousand tons. In terms of amount, it decreased by 36% from 358 million dollars to 228 million dollars. If the restriction on bulk and barreled olive oil exports continues, it will cause irreparable damage to our sector. As of August 1, 2023, additional measures have been introduced for the export of bulk and barreled olive oil, and the export of these products has been restricted until November 1. "On October 17, 2023, the restriction in question was extended indefinitely." said.
