Nilüfer Commemorates Orhan Taylan with the 'Resistance Memory of the Street' Exhibition!

Nilüfer Municipality brought together the works of painter Orhan Taylan, who passed away last year, with art lovers in the exhibition titled "Orhan Taylan Street's Resistance Memory".

The exhibition titled "Resistance Memory of Orhan Taylan Street" was opened for viewing in two separate halls in Nilüfer. The exhibition was opened together by Nilüfer Mayor Şadi Özdemir and Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey, Orhan Taylan's wife Melek Taylan Ulagay and his son Ferhat Taylan.

Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, which was attended by many guests, Nilüfer Mayor Şadi Özdemir stated that they hosted a very meaningful exhibition and said, "We are very happy to host Orhan Taylan's meaningful and beautiful works. Nilüfer Municipality has always supported art and artists. This understanding will continue from now on. "I would like to thank his family and those who contributed to bringing these works to us," he said.

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey emphasized that Bursa has to be a city of art and said, “The exhibition has a great meaning. In order to explain the struggle, these works should be carried forward to later years. It is everyone's responsibility to protect art. Culture and art will bring about our enlightenment. "The understanding of protecting art in Nilüfer will continue throughout Bursa," he said.

The exhibition will be open for viewing at Nazım Hikmet Culture House and Meteor I Balat Culture House until July 28.
