Stating that the National Electric Sets, which use the latest technology, can reach a speed of 160 kilometers, Minister Uraloğlu said, “Our sets were produced not only for Turkey but also for use in the world. The sets, which are produced with the TSI certificate, which is the international railway usability and interoperability certificate, can be produced with the number of 3, 4, 5 and 6 vehicles to be operated regionally and intercityly, depending on the need. Each set of 5 vehicles carries 324 passengers, and there is a restaurant for long journeys. In addition, our design work for the National High Speed Train, which has an operating speed of 225 kilometers, continues. "With its quality, it will soon begin to be exported to many countries," he said.
Minister Uraloğlu stated that the production of train sets at TÜRASAŞ continues to increase day by day, and emphasized that Turkey's foreign dependence on railway vehicles will end completely in the near future, thanks to the development of the railway ecosystem.
Stating that 2 National Electric Train Sets successfully carry passengers between Adapazarı and Gebze, Minister Uraloğlu said, “Our 3rd set, whose manufacturing and testing was completed by TÜRASAŞ, was delivered to the TCDD General Directorate of Transportation on March 30, 2024 and started to serve our citizens by landing on the rails. However, I would also like to point out that 2025 more sets will be on the roads by the end of 22 and the number of local and national train sets will reach 2 within 25 years. "By 2030, a total of 56 sets will be on the road to serve our citizens," he said.
