The promise made by Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras to reduce the university ring line to 1 TL is coming true.
Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras said in his statement that they kept their promise to contribute to the students' budgets, to enable them to focus only on their education and to facilitate transportation.
Mayor Aras said, “Approximately 46 thousand students are studying in our city and approximately 25 thousand students are studying at Sıtkı Koçman University. Before the election, we promised that we would support our students on the Kötekli campus. We made an arrangement in order for our children to focus better on their education, to contribute to their budgets and to have easier transportation to their schools, and reduced the ring transportation fee in the Kötekli - Campus - Yeniköy - Turgutreis student dormitories area from 7 TL to 1 TL. In the future, we will implement different projects for both our other university students and our primary and secondary school students. "We will please both our students and their families with the projects we will carry out on education, which is the most important element in reaching the level of contemporary civilizations that our ancestors showed us," he said.
