Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Collected Waste from Boats During the Holidays

During the 9-day holiday, Muğla Metropolitan Municipality teams collected waste from boats with 4 waste collection boats in Göcek Bays.

Muğla, one of the most preferred cities due to the Eid holiday, hosted thousands of local and foreign tourists during this Eid. In order to prevent possible pollution in the seas, especially due to the increase in population and sea traffic, Muğla Metropolitan Municipality continued to collect waste from the seas with its waste collection boats during the holiday.

9 THOUSAND KG OF SOLID WASTE WAS COLLECTED IN 12 DAYS

Muğla Metropolitan Municipality's routine marine waste collection activities for the protection of the seas continued unabated during the holiday. During the 9-day holiday, the teams collected 12 thousand 255 kg of solid waste and 37 thousand 337 liters of waste water per day.

THE METROPOLITAN CITY PROTECTS THE SEA OF MUĞLA

Within the scope of the 'Blue Sea Clean Coasts' project, Muğla Metropolitan Municipality collects waste from marine vessels with 8 boats and collects it at the waste reception center in Göcek and Akyaka. The seas of Muğla, where thousands of tour boats and private marine vehicles travel, are protected thanks to the Metropolitan Municipality. While the metropolitan teams continue to collect waste in Göcek-Dalaman Bays and Gökova Bay, they have served 2014 thousand 26 boats since 386. 16 thousand 32 liters of waste oil, 53 thousand 452 liters of bilge, 16 million 787 thousand 745 kg of solid waste and 19 million 532 thousand 372 liters of waste water were collected from the serviced boats.
