Description of Üsküdar Samandıra Metro Line from Metro Istanbul

While the disruption that occurred in the morning of the previous day on the M5 Üsküdar-Samandıra metro line, Turkey's first driverless metro line, could not be resolved, citizens who wanted to go to the morning shift were faced with a rush. In the statement made by Metro Istanbul, “Repair operations of the couplings that were damaged as a result of the contact of two passengerless trains used for training purposes outside operating hours on the night between April 21 and April 22 are continuing. "It is planned that the mandatory maintenance work will be completed on Wednesday night, April 24, and normal operation will begin on the morning of April 25."

The disruption on the M5 Üsküdar-Samandıra Metro Line, which started at 06.00 the previous day, continues.

Due to the problem, flights continue to be transferred at Altunizade Station. Citizens passing from the Altunizade stop to the metro line are warned as they pass through the turnstiles, "Go in the opposite direction of your destination." When you go down to the floor where the line is located, the officers waiting in front of the direction signs make announcements with a megaphone and direct the citizens to the direction they want to go.

The statement included the following statements:

“Repair operations of the couplings, which were damaged as a result of the contact of two trains without passengers used for training purposes outside operating hours, in the M5 line Fıstıkağacı Station area, on the night between 21 April and 22 April, are continuing.
