Istanbul is hosting a riot of colors this year too

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Parks, Gardens and Green Areas Department decorated the historical points of the city with colorful tulips this year, as every year. Between 1-30 April, a visual feast awaits Istanbulites and all visitors in Emirgan Grove, Gülhane Grove, Sultanahmet Square, Göztepe 60th Year Park and Hıdiv Grove.

APPROXIMATELY 8 MILLION FLOWERS WERE PLANNED

Hyacinths, daffodils, muscari and tulips, which color the most beautiful spots of Istanbul, come together with Istanbulites in locations worthy of their history. A total of 158 million 7 thousand 8 bulbous flowers, including 7 types of tulip bulbs, 962 types of hyacinth bulbs, 701 types of daffodil bulbs and muscari bulbs, will welcome Istanbulites throughout April.

'ISTANBUL TULIP'

4 tulip bulbs, which were gifted to Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality by Arjen Uijterlinde, Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Istanbul, on November 2021, 1.000, were planted in Istanbul Square in Emirgan Grove on December 3, 2021, and were announced by the President of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in April 2022. Ekrem İmamoğlu met with the people of Istanbul under his leadership. The planting and exhibition of the Istanbul Tulip, which was brought back to its homeland Istanbul after centuries, continues at the same point, starting from 2021.
