Investing in the Future with Informatics Academy in Kayseri

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç said that they will implement the Informatics Academy project specifically for successful and interested young people, and important scientists will join the academy.

Mayor Büyükkılıç, who has carried out exemplary projects by pushing the limits of his service area in many areas from health to sports, from education to culture and arts, in addition to routine municipal services during the past 5 years of service, has rolled up his sleeves to implement projects that will add value to the city in the new 5 years.

Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç stated that they will implement important projects for investment and service leader Kayseri in the new 5 years and will continue services, investments and projects without slowing down.

Mayor Büyükkılıç emphasized that there are many projects that will give young people opportunities, meet their expectations and look to the future with hope in the new 5 years, and stated that the most important of these projects is the Informatics Academy.

Büyükkılıç emphasized that young people will be selected through an exam in this project, which will be special for successful and interested young people, and said, "We will establish an Informatics Academy by our Municipality in order to raise our young people to whom we will entrust the future, who will develop our country in the field of science and technology by supporting the development of the Technology Stars of the Future. Successful and interested students in our city will be selected through an exam, and an Informatics Academy consisting of these students will be established and created. "Methodological studies will be carried out with the guidance of the Scientific Committee," he said.

Underlining that the Informatics Academy is an important project for young people, Mayor Büyükkılıç said, “We will train our children and young people here for two years. As the Metropolitan Municipality, we invite 9th and 10th grade students to the exciting journey of the IT world. At the end of the 24-month training, students will specialize in areas such as artificial intelligence, programming and cyber security, as well as social skills such as problem solving, communication and teamwork. "Our youth is our future," he said.

Büyükkılıç noted that 15 months of the training will continue with project-based courses and workshops, and 9 months will continue with team work, and continued his words as follows:

“With the training, which will last approximately 24 months, free technology training will be provided in areas such as Robotics and Coding, Software Technologies, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Cyber ​​Security, Material Science and Nanotechnology and Mobile Application. In order to graduate from the Informatics Academy, it will be mandatory to participate in science competitions and technofest. Students who pass the written and oral exams will be accepted to the academy, which will start with an examination process. The Scientific Board, which will consist of university professors and experts in their fields, will manage all examination, interview and course processes. “All training will be given by experts in their fields.”
