Eskişehir Broke a Visitor Record During Ramadan Feast!

Eskişehir, one of the favorite cities of urban tourism, was flooded with tourists during the 9-day Ramadan Feast holiday. Tourist centers, especially thematic museums, boat and gondola tours brought together more than 124 thousand guests with the beauties of Eskişehir.

The successful urbanization projects implemented by Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality, especially museums and thematic parks, with the aim of "City Tourism" continue to increase the interest of local and foreign tourists in the city. Eskişehir, which hosted more than 2023 million tourists in 1 and has become an important tourism destination in recent years, attracted great attention during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, which was extended to 9 days.

In this context, the touristic centers of Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality hosted more than 9 thousand visitors during the 124-day holiday. Expressing that they were amazed by the change and transformation of Eskişehir, visitors showed great interest in the thematic museums in the Historical Odunpazarı Region, Sazova Science Culture and Art Park and the tourist centers there, Kentpark, Porsuk Stream gondola and boat tours.

Especially the thematic museums located in the Odunpazarı region of the Metropolitan Municipality are Yılmaz Büyükerşen Wax Sculptures Museum, Kurtuluş Museum, Glass Arts Museum, Eskişehir Turkish Bath Museum, City Memory Museum, İmren Erşen Oya Museum, Berna Türemen Cat Art House and Ali İsmail Türemen Mavi Art House and Zühal. Yorgancıoğlu Fashion Design Museum attracted great attention and hosted 33 thousand 766 visitors during the holiday. While queues formed in front of the museums, visitors took lots of photos.

Another spot with the highest concentration of visitors was Kentpark and Sazova Science, Culture and Art Park. Stating that visitors showed great interest in the parks, Metropolitan Municipality officials stated that the Fairytale Castle hosted 18 thousand 816 visitors, the Science Experiment Center 7 thousand 440, the Sabancı Space House 2279 and the Zoo 49 thousand 305 visitors.

Gondola and boat tours, which are indispensable for tourists, also attracted great attention. While visitors formed queues to ride the gondolas, they immortalized the unique view of the city with the photographs they took. In this context, 4 thousand 792 people took a gondola tour and 7 thousand 614 people took a city tour on the Porsuk Stream with Esbot.
