Altaca Kayışoğlu, who criticized the school principal's ban on the anthem by saying "There is pressure from the parents, the Ottoman Empire and our ancestors are being insulted", also asked whether the Ministry of National Education had a decision in this direction in his parliamentary question.
Altaca Kayışoğlu, who brought the problem experienced at Yunuseli Şahin Yılmaz Primary School to the agenda of the Parliament, included the following questions in the motion she prepared, requesting the Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin to answer:
“The 23 April March, which will be sung at the 23 April National Sovereignty and Children's Day celebration ceremonies at the Şahin Yılmaz Primary School in the Yunuseli District of Bursa's Osmangazi district, will be sung by the school principal; It is claimed that the decision was taken to change the entire event, saying "the Ottoman Empire and our ancestors are being insulted" and that the parents reacted to this incident. In this context;
- Has your Ministry determined the celebration program for the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day ceremonies? If determined, have the celebration programs been notified to the Provincial and District National Education Directorates?
- Has your Ministry made a decision not to sing the April 23rd Anthem in ceremonies?
- Is it within the scope of the school administration's duties, powers and responsibilities to make a decision in this direction?
- “Will your Ministry conduct an investigation regarding the accuracy of the allegations in question?”
