April 23 Statement from DSP Keşan District Chairman Nalbantoğlu

DSP Keşan District Chairman Hasan Nalbantoğlu published a written statement regarding April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day.

Nalbantoğlu's statement is as follows;

“We celebrate with enthusiasm the 104th anniversary of the opening of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, where our national will, strengthened by the sense of national unity and solidarity, is represented, and the National Sovereignty and Children's Day, which the great leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk gifted to our children, the guarantee of our future, and we experience this joy together.

The opening of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, which convened in Ankara on April 23, 1920, at a time when despair, poverty, and difficult and troubled days were experienced, was a turning point for our bright future.

Thousands of unnamed heroes paid the price of this land, where a martyr lies in every inch, by giving their lives. Indeed, when considered within the conditions of the time, our War of Independence is the epic of independence of a nation that was thought to have vanished. In order for this nation not to experience the same things again, the Great Leader's words, "Regardless of the limits of the education our future children and young people receive, must first and foremost be taught the need to fight against all elements that are hostile to Turkey's independence and their own national traditions" will always be a principle. We must acquire.

Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk showed his trust, love and importance to our children, whom he saw as the guarantee of our future and the most valuable asset of our nation, in keeping the democratic, secular and modern Republic of Turkey alive, in exceeding the level of modern civilization, by presenting National Sovereignty and Children's Day to them.

We believe that our children, who are the owners of the first and only holiday given to children in the world, will work with the awareness of this responsibility, protect and keep alive the fundamental values of our republic, adhere to Atatürk's principles and reforms, and become the architects of our bright future with the great and important achievements they will achieve without leaving the guidance of reason and science. is infinite.

With these feelings and thoughts, I congratulate all our citizens and our beloved children on April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day with my most sincere wishes and offer my love and respect.”
