Aegean Islands Expeditions Started with İDO

İDO made its first flights from both İzmir Seferihisar and Aydın Kuşadası to the Greek island of Samos on April 6.

On April 6, İDO, together with its passengers, protocol guests, press members and management team, took off from Seferihisar Sığacık Teos Marina and Kuşadası Ege Port in the morning and arrived at Samos Island simultaneously with İDO EGE and İDO AKDENİZ sea buses.
As in all other Aegean Islands, the season in Samos starts with the summer holidays. İDO, which started its flights as early as April 6, saw high demand on the first day of its flights; It carried 422 passengers in two sea buses in one direction only to Samos. İDO, which will continue to operate flights to meet the high demand during the holiday, will make its flights every day with the season opening, from 3 days a week in May.

Making a statement on the subject, İDO General Manager Murat Orhan said;

“Today is Saturday, April 6, 2024. We are experiencing one of the historic days for our company. Our company was established in 1987 within the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality to transport passengers and vehicles in the Marmara Sea. We carry out 44 thousand voyages annually on 35 ships and 115 piers with our 1.200 personnel.

We added the international experience we gained for the first time with the Hatay-Girne (TRNC) flights in 2022 to our existing knowledge.
Today, our Seferihisar-Samos and Kuşadası-Samos voyages took place with our İDO AEGEAN and İDO MEDITERRANEAN ships with a total of 422 passengers. Our flights, which will initially take place 3 days a week in the morning and return in the evening, will operate as morning departure and evening return every day of the week during the season.

In addition to our Samos flights, our work on three different lines in the Aegean Region continues. We will share developments regarding these lines as they mature. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the İDO family who contributed and hope that it will be beneficial for our company.”
