KOSGEB Earthquake Support Payments Started

Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır announced that the payment processes for the financial support provided by KOSGEB to the earthquake region have restarted. Within the scope of the Post-Earthquake Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Revival Support Program, payments have started for businesses whose applications have been approved but whose payments have not been made.

PAYMENTS ARE TRANSFERRED TO THE BUSINESSES' ACCOUNTS

Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır said that within the scope of the financial support provided by international funds for the earthquake zone, approximately 4 Billion TL of financing has started to be transferred to businesses within the framework of the Loan Agreement signed between KOSGEB and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

39 BILLION TL WAS TRANSFERRED TO 680 THOUSAND 12.8 BUSINESSES

Within the scope of the Turkey Post-Earthquake Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Revitalization Project, carried out in cooperation with the World Bank and KOSGEB, the entire $6 million financing for businesses in 11 provinces affected by the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquake that occurred on February 450 was transferred to the businesses in the region. In this context, an amount of 31 Billion TL was paid to 2023 thousand 39 businesses as of October 680, 12.8, when the support was announced.

After all of this financing was transferred to the region, a Loan Agreement was signed between KOSGEB and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). In this context, the Post-Earthquake Support Project for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises was implemented. This resource will be used for businesses whose applications have been approved and support payments have not been made.

ADDITIONAL FINANCING STUDIES CONTINUE

Stating that they are working as a ministry to find new financing sources with international organizations, Kacır said that studies are continuing with the Spanish Agency for Cooperation and Development (AECID) to provide additional financing to the region.
