Students visited the City Gardens, where Nilüfer Municipality produces under ecological farming conditions, and got acquainted with agriculture by sowing seeds and planting strawberry seedlings.
Urban Gardens in the Ürünlü District of Nilüfer Municipality have become an introduction to agriculture for children, as well as trial production.
Students came to City Gardens for three days and got information about agricultural production and had the opportunity to practice it.
Little students listened to the information given about the applications in the Seed Library, greenhouse and compost unit and learned all the processes from production to obtaining seeds. The children also visited the parcels where trial production of medicinal and aromatic plants were made and got to know the products closely. Little students learned new information about agriculture and examined some of the plants they saw for the first time.
Within the scope of the three-day training, the little students planted strawberry seedlings and planted marigold seeds in the soil.
