Ordu Metropolitan Municipality will carry out renovation work in the city square in Gürgentepe district for the use of citizens. With the arrangement to be made in the square, which also serves as an intersection, the flow of traffic will be more orderly and faster.

The Metropolitan Municipality, which continues to impress with its contemporary urban works implemented throughout Ordu, also gives a modern appearance to the districts. Continuing its efforts to create social living spaces by providing city squares to 19 districts, the Metropolitan Municipality will build the area in the middle of the city in Gürgentepe district as a city square and make it available for public use. This area, which also serves as an intersection, will also ensure that the traffic flow in the district is fast and orderly.
BOTH AN INTERSECTION AND A MODERN CITY SQUARE WILL BE BUILT
Within the scope of the project, which will be implemented by the Department of Parks and Green Areas, a small square and intersection in the area will be modernized. A work on the theme of honey and beekeeping, which is the symbol of Gürgentepe, will be carried out on the area. While the hexagonal form will be given on the floor with flooring, hexagonal bench and canopy designs will be realized. While a green area is left for trees in the center of the square, there will be a 6-meter-long LED intersection visual with a crescent and star figure at the intersection. Lighting poles will be placed on 4 sides of the visual and bee figures will be placed on two of these poles, and the image will be placed on a 1 meter long pedestal.
The work that will both regulate traffic in the center of the district and provide a new square to the district will begin shortly.
