Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu announced that there have been significant developments in Diyarbakır's transportation infrastructure and investments have been made for the future.

Uraloğlu said, “In the future projection, this line will be connected to the Malatya-Çetinkaya-Sivas line via Elazığ and its integration into the railway network in the east-west part of our country will be ensured. Thus, Diyarbakır's Ankara and Istanbul high-speed train connection will be made. We are continuing our project work to transform the railway line, which is currently a single line, into a double line in the Ergani-Leylek-Diyarbakır-Bozdemir section, which has a length of 70 km. "With this project, which is connected to the existing station in Ergani, we will greatly increase the conventional line capacity between Bozdemir-Diyarbakır-Ergani," he said.
