CHP Nilüfer Mayor Candidate Şadi Özdemir met with Bursa Vegetable and Fruit Broker Businessmen Association President Aydın Akyol and Board Members. Özdemir, who received information about production, sales, marketing and working environments, also listened to the demands of the tradesmen.
Emphasizing that agriculture is important for future generations, Özdemir said, “When we think about 50-100 years from now, if you destroy today's agricultural lands, you will find them again a thousand years later. 50 generations of our people will go hungry. That's why agricultural lands should be protected. Agriculture and production should be encouraged. We, as a municipality, will do this as much as we can. We will also allocate resources here. We will also provide them with technical support and sales and marketing support. "We will also build a cold storage facility to preserve the products that agriculture cannot sell," he said.
Stating that he is a person who knows the value of agriculture, Özdemir said, “If we look at agriculture in terms of product sales and marketing, the market is its main aorta. "That's why we find the roles played by our colleagues in the state valuable in terms of the future of the society and the survival of agriculture," he said.
Stating that they would be happy to contribute to the work they can do as Nilüfer Municipality in the coming processes, Şadi Özdemir said, “The situation is the duty of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, but there may still be things we can do on various issues. It looks like Mustafa Bozbey will be elected. If he is elected, he will take care of you before me. I know that too. "He also values this place very much," he said.
Speaking about the importance of agricultural production, Bursa Vegetable and Fruit Broker Businessmen Association President Aydın Akyol said that they are ready to contribute to the work that can be done.
