DERELİ WISHES SUCCESS IN THE ELECTIONS
It was held in the office of Turkish Metal Union Manisa No. 1 Branch President Ercan Dereli. sohbetAfterwards, we went to the Meeting Hall. Dereli, who made the opening speech of the meeting, wished Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cengiz Ergün success in the elections.

HE THANKS ERDOĞAN AND BAHÇELİ
In his speech at the meeting, Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor and People's Alliance Metropolitan Municipality Mayoral Candidate Cengiz Ergün said, “Dear presidents and valuable members of the Turkish Metal Union. I am happy to meet with you. We have been in these positions for 10 years, 15 of which have been in the Metropolitan Municipality, with the support of our citizens. I would like to thank our citizens for the support they gave us during this process. "I would also like to thank our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and our Wise Leader Devlet Bahçeli for nominating us again," he said.

HE TRANSFERRED DEVELOPMENT PLANS AND NEW TERM PROJECTS
Stating that they brought beautiful works to the city with the productive municipality approach in Manisa, Mayor Cengiz Ergün said, “If our citizens show their favor and support us for one more term; We will continue our services at the same point tomorrow as we did yesterday, today. During this period, we experienced coronavirus and earthquakes that affected 11 provinces. More than 50 thousand of our citizens lost their lives in this earthquake. May God not let him live again, and I wish God's mercy to all our citizens who lost their lives there. Earthquake is a disaster in life. May God not let him live again. Manisa is growing very fast because the industry is developing. The population of the center will reach 5 thousand in the next 600 years. There is a congestion in the city because new development areas cannot be built. Due to the development plans that have not been made for 35 years, there is also a problem of slums in Manisa, which has received excessive immigration. Of course, we made development plans a priority on this issue in 2009, when we took office in Manisa Municipality. We prepared development plans until 2014. We started the suspension process with 6 months left. 2 council members left us. Opposing votes were made and the zoning plans were cancelled. Manisa was the one who lost 10 years here. When we became a metropolitan city in 2014, we carried out new works. We had to obtain the approval of the new institutions from the Ministries. We have reached a certain stage there. This time, Izmir Chamber of Architects took the development plans to court. The decision to cancel came. We worked again and passed Manisa's zoning plans, region by region. If you cannot make development plans, you cannot pave the way for the city. We have examples from Muradiye and Saruhanlı. When the contractors could not find a place in the city, they first went to the Muradiye region, houses were built, and then Saruhanlı in the same way. New areas shifted to these regions. There has been a Gediz Junction problem for years. There were expropriation problems. We made development plans and gave new title deeds to everyone there. We carried out the 18 applications and delivered the project to the Ministry without costing the state a penny. We made two requests to our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who visited our city in the past weeks. We conveyed our demands that Gediz Junction and West Barracks be moved and replaced by the National Garden project.

Thank you, the tender for Gediz Junction was held within 3 days after our request. We are waiting for news from the Ministry, hopefully we can hold a groundbreaking ceremony there before the end of March. We have come to the point of opening Fatih Boulevard. I am trying to explain the benefits of development plans on the development of the city and traffic. Rainwater and filling works have started on Fatih Boulevard. When it is completed, it will take most of the load of Mimar Sinan Boulevard. Again, due to the preparation of development plans, we have completed the work of the area of 15 thousand residences covering the east of the city. We recently laid the foundations of 1442 houses. Applications end on Friday, and the draw will be held in the coming days. There will be new employment for 8500 people in the industry. In return, the population will increase by nearly 100 thousand. Of course, these people need housing. We gave 2-storey development to the 10-storey area in Fatih District and Hafsa Sultan District. In order to save those places from narrow streets. We will focus on housing projects in the new period. In the past, there were narrow streets due to the lack of population density and the low number of vehicles. If we share the current figures, there are 1 thousand vehicles in the city with a population of 731 million. Parking is required for these vehicles. There is no parking space in the city. A few weeks ago, we laid the foundation of the car park in the area next to Chakra Park. Our work has started for the parking lot for 1060 vehicles in Alaybey. We will replicate the Guzelyurt example in Manisa. We will increase wide streets and green areas. Dear friends, I am here as the candidate of the People's Alliance. Once again, we ask for your support. People's Alliance means receiving the support of the State, Ministries and Members of Parliament, and increasing investments in Manisa. Again, recently, we laid the foundation of the intersection project in cooperation with the OIZ management. The project we initiated to relieve traffic congestion at the entrance of the OIZ will be completed in 5 months. It is a route used by 1700 shuttle vehicles, especially during commuting hours. A 3-storey intersection will be built here and there will be no traffic lights. Again, we wanted to run a tram on the train line route from the City Hospital to the OIZ. In 2026, the high-speed train line will pass through Manisa. The Minister said that a tram can be operated here if the hours are suitable. We will also have a junction project near the Old State Hospital. In order for these projects to be carried out, we need to maintain the unity of the People's Alliance. Investments need to be increased. There are 780 rural neighborhoods throughout Manisa province. We have completed the infrastructure of 265 of them. "Hopefully, we will continue these infrastructure projects in the coming period," he said.

In the last part of the meeting, MHP Group Deputy Chairman and Manisa Deputy Erkan Akçay also made a speech. Akçay asked for support for the People's Alliance's candidate, President Ergün, in the elections.
