Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, in his statements on CNN Turk, explained the details of the "super high speed train" project that he said will be built between Ankara and Istanbul. Uraloğlu said, "Our country will move to the next level of technology with this train" for the project, which he explained through the visual of "90 minutes for the national match, 80 minutes between Istanbul and Ankara".

“We measure the population in cities. We are looking at what is needed. The Istanbul-Ankara route meets our needs now, but it will not meet our needs in another 10 years. A new highway. It will be like in Northern Marmara. It will also be shorter. It is also a region where winter conditions are milder. It is a 276 km highway. A new highway that is the continuation of Northern Marmara. Akyazı will reach Beypazarı Nallıhan and Ankara.
We are also considering a high-speed train, close to this highway project. With this super fast train, Ankara and Istanbul will be reduced to 80 minutes. Our country will move to the next level of technology with this train. The speed of the super high speed train will be 350 km. We will finish and start the project by 2028. It will end around 2035. In 10-11 years. We also need to plan for the future.
