Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department not only comes to the aid of our citizens in cases of fire and similar emergencies, but also continues its inspection and training activities in order to prevent loss of life and property before a possible incident. It is vital to educate citizens and employees before fires and similar emergencies that may occur in Kocaeli. Information and awareness activities are carried out by the Fire Department Prevention and Education Branch Directorate Training Unit (KOBİTEM). In this context, MES Makine Elektrik Kimya Sanayi A.Ş., which was established in Dilovası district recently. and AKPLAS Plastik company personnel were given Emergency Team Training.
In the trainings carried out by KOBITEM trainers in two stages: theoretical and practical; Information was presented on various topics, especially combustion and fire, Hazards at the Fireplace, Extinguishing Agents and Extinguishing Techniques. In the practical phase, the use of portable fire extinguishers and hose cabinets in fuel oil fires was discussed and the fire was intervened.
