Kabataş Transfer Center Phase 1 Opened

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) President Ekrem İmamoğlu, Kabataş He spoke at the opening of the Transfer Center 1st stage. "We are individuals of this city by the grace of God," said İmamoğlu, adding, "Of course, on this occasion, we would like to thank Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who saved this city from occupation and gifted it to us, while looking at the Historical Peninsula and seeing Fatih Sultan Mehmet and Dolmabahçe right next to us." "It is our duty to commemorate them and bow down in front of them with respect," he said.

“THOSE WHO SEE THAT THEY CANNOT DEAL WITH OUR UNDERSTANDING OF MUNICIPALITY AND SERVICE…”

Underlining that every individual, every street, every street, every stone of Istanbul has a different value for them, İmamoğlu said, “It is my duty to provide the service that 16 million people deserve, to protect the existence of this beloved, beautiful city, to ensure its unity and order. For this reason, since the day you deemed us worthy of this duty, we have been doing our best with the feeling and responsibility of being not only the Mayor of this city but also its guardian. Those who see that they cannot cope with our understanding of municipalism and service - let me be frank - are now trying to set up various tricks or conspiracies that we are used to all the time before every election. Well, let them work. Everyone has their interests. It is not within our area of interest. These are their interests. There's nothing can be done. But frankly, both the Creator and the servants see what we have done, what we have brought to Istanbul, and what stance we take against the plundering of our city for the sake of profit. That's why I can say here with peace of mind that no matter what they do, they will not succeed. Because Istanbulites know and Istanbulites see what is done and how it is done,” he said.

“Even my opponent, who rarely speaks the truth, has surrendered this right”

Stating that they made many promises during the local elections on March 31, 2019, İmamoğlu said:

“I had a huge set of promises in the 2019 election. We worked hard. We really worked on an extraordinary set for 3 months. It is not right to call it a booklet, we had created a directory of promises like a solid encyclopedia. We had created such a flow of hundreds of academic identities and hundreds of political people and established such a solid coordination that a magnificent work was produced. In other words, it was great to establish a system of deciding together with the people what that series of promises were during the election campaign during the day, 5-6-7 hours in the evening, until midnight. I wasn't going to give such a detailed rate either - thank God, what can I say - but now I am. I am proud to fit 87 percent of it into these 5 years. 87 percent is a significant achievement. Even my opponent, who rarely speaks truthfully, conceded this right. I think yes, years will pass and this will only be remembered with 87 percent. From this election, he will be the only one left. There is God, he is

You know, he said, 'He did 87 percent of it.' “I thank him.”

“I AM NOT LIKE MY COMPETITORS”

“I participate in television and live broadcasts. Here is one of the least known ones from my 200-page promise set... I even remember you saying, 'This is what will be done one day a week in social facilities'... We wrote so many details... They ask me on live broadcasts. I don't have the mood to just say 'I did it' and move on like some people. I may not remember it at that moment. Frankly, I am not like my competitors either. I want to make sure. I say, 'I don't remember, let me check and let you know.' I think this is a very humane, right move and the right answer. 'Wow sir, İmamoğlu doesn't remember!' He doesn't remember one of so many hundreds of promises. But I understand this: I left such an impression on them that when I remember everything, they are shocked and they wonder why İmamoğlu didn't remember this. Of course, you know what young people say; I'm shocked. Of course, they are also shocked when they see this. They've been working on this for 3 days. Frankly, it's a lot of fun. They think that İmamoğlu is angry. I swear I'm not angry at all. When I look at them, I feel very happy and have fun. Let me be clear; I am bursting with laughter when they criticize me for our 5-year-old actions and jump up and down because I said 'I didn't remember'. "How happy I am, how happy all my companions are."

“WE CHANGED AN IMPORTANT PERCEPTION”

"We changed an important perception," said İmamoğlu, "In the past, people used to say that it was a bad thing, that is, 'It steals, but it works.' There was such a perception. We destroyed it. Now our nation says: 'He neither steals nor works. This is important. That's why they're confused, that's why they can't understand. We will place this further. My dear fellow countrymen; "This city knows very well that we are guarding against the ignoring of your will, injustice, and attempts to suspend law and democracy," he said. They opened the first phase Kabataş Stating that they started the work for the Transfer Center in September 2021 with a budget of 1 billion 150 million lira, İmamoğlu said, “By listening to our people, working with our very valuable architects, we set out to build a careful transfer center here with their designs. "After board processes and so on, we have come to this day," he said.

“WE WORKED ON PROJECTS TO CREATE PERMANENT SOLUTIONS, NOT TEMPORARY”

Noting that the completion of the pumping center and landscaping will have positive reflections on vehicle and pedestrian traffic in the region, İmamoğlu shared the following information:

“The ordeal in this region stretching from Karaköy to Beşiktaş was unbearable. We worked on projects to create permanent, not temporary, solutions to the issue. What will we do with the buses coming to the region? We will take it underground. Our underground car park will host 60 of those big buses there at the same time. And it will drop off its passengers and go to Dolmabahçe and other points. Therefore, you will no longer see a single bus being stored nearby. This will happen very regularly. Because we have introduced very careful regulations for buses and pedestrians. We will control that density here. Let's not see this place as just an underground parking lot. This is a station area where passengers and pedestrians can spend time. There are shops, exhibition areas, libraries, and there will also be some offices. That's why we call it 'transfer center'.”

“I PROVIDE SUCH A DETAILED DISTRICT SO THAT SOME FRIENDS CAN LEARN”

“With its daily capacity of meeting approximately 70 people, it will make a serious contribution to the regulation of maritime traffic. In other words, we will ensure that not only land but also sea routes are integrated into the project. Thanks to the incredible design capability and green areas found in the facility, our center will also ensure that this region becomes a part of the city. We will give the region the quality of public space. In our center, the first phase of which will be opened today, we offer our Istanbul Booklet and passenger waiting areas to the service of our citizens. See; When you look at this building, when you see the space rising above, you walk over the top of it, which is on the side Kabataş- Beşiktaş-Yıldız- Mecidiyeköy-Mahmutbey metro... I am giving such detailed districts so that some friends can learn. "They may not think of these districts."

“WE WILL INCREASE THE GEAR FURTHER”

Underlining that with the completion of the project, they will save the region from the appearance of approximately 10 years of construction, İmamoğlu said, “We have much larger, more inclusive solutions for this city. In the coming period, we will increase the gear even more. They won't be able to follow us anymore. They will stop watching. Because we will cross the horizon. They won't be able to see us. That's how far they'll stay. We will further increase our energy and power. The fact that we have done more work in 5 years than the administration has done in 25 years actually sets us the following goal: We will reflect the municipal period, which has done 10 years worth of work in 50 years, to this city. But mostly, we will protect this city from trouble. We will prevent any trouble or betrayal from happening to this city. We will protect the future of this city. We will protect the hopes of our children. We will protect the hopes of our youth. "It is an important responsibility," he said.

KABATAŞ, SALACAK, MALTEPE; ALL THREE ARE MEGA JOBS

KabataşEmphasizing that he will carry out the coastal landscaping in Salacak and the opening of squares in Maltepe, İmamoğlu said, “All three of these are mega works for Istanbul; let me tell you. But even our humility is mega humility. When the two come together, it becomes beautiful. Because its name is 'Istanbul attitude'. "We will continue to be Istanbul gentlemen and Istanbul ladies, as the people of our city," he said. Stating that his father Hasan İmamoğlu did not leave him alone at the opening, İmamoğlu completed his speech with the following words:

“COMING TO ISTANBUL FROM A SMALL VILLAGE…”

“Thank God, I am satisfied with my family. Both my mother and father taught me to be hardworking since childhood. He taught me to be a good tradesman. But more than that, it taught me to be a good person. May God be pleased with them. Being worthy of them is a valuable thing. But let me tell you one more thing: Coming to Istanbul from a small village, dreaming of being able to own a shop on Selmani Pak Street, earning the bread and blessings of that shop there with diligence and justice, holding on to life, producing business together, becoming a businessman of Istanbul. to be able to be; Then, coming here and opening this place, Selmani Pak, who dreamed of being a student who sold meatballs or a rotisserie chicken in a shop in the past, but also studied economics at the Faculty of Business Administration at Istanbul University, and then became the Mayor of this city. "It is our great duty to go back and reorganize Selmani Pak Street, which has been untouched for 30 years and untouched for 20 years, and bring it to the city, thus being worthy of the Ataturk Republic."

Kabataş Promotion Center; It was put into service with the ribbon cut by CHP Deputy Chairman Gökan Zeybek, CHP MPs Yunus Emre, Yüksel Mansur Kılınç, CHP Party Council member Mahir Yüksel, İmamoğlu, CHP Beyoğlu Mayor candidate İnan Güney and Fatih Mayor candidate Mahir Polat.
