Babacan: Democracy Begins Locally; Let's Protect the Ballot Boxes

DEVA Party Chairman Ali Babacan cast his vote for the 31 March Local Elections at Ankara Bilkent Emlak Bankası Secondary School.

Answering the questions of journalists after casting his vote, Ali Babacan said, “Of course, our metropolitan cities are important, but the most attention is inevitably on Istanbul and Ankara. As you know, we, as DEVA Party, entered the elections with our own candidates both in Istanbul and Ankara. We made an intense effort to elect our own candidates. Our hope, of course, is that our candidates emerge from these elections with the best possible success.” he commented.

"Let's not say what will change with one vote, a lot changes with one vote," said Babacan, stating that he entered this election for the first time with the name and logo of the DEVA Party with its candidates and added: "Democracy starts at the local level. Therefore, as a nation, let's protect the ballot boxes in the local elections. Let's protect our democracy. Let us never give up hope in this great and beautiful country. Turkey is a country that can reach much better points very quickly when it is managed really well. "Let's look for the solution together in democracy," he said.
