Statement from İletişim on 'Provocative Allegations'

The Center for Combating Disinformation within the Directorate of Communications clarified the allegations that mobile voters from different provinces were made to vote en masse.

In the statement referring to Article 67 of the Constitution, “In the first paragraph; After emphasizing that citizens have the right to vote, to be elected and to engage in political activity independently or within a political party and to participate in referendums, in accordance with the conditions specified in the law, in the third paragraph of the same article; It is stated that every Turkish citizen over the age of 18 has the right to vote and participate in the referendum, and in the fifth paragraph; "Private and non-commissioned officers, military students, and convicts in penal institutions, except for those convicted of negligent crimes, cannot vote." Exceptions to the right to choose are shown by saying. "High-ranking soldiers, such as police and gendarmerie personnel, can also vote."

In the statement, it was emphasized that the voting of law enforcement officers and high-ranking soldiers in some regions in the 31 March 2024 Local Government General Elections was manipulated, and said, "The transportation of security personnel in military units in various regions of Turkey to the schools where they will vote is carried out in public in order to avoid any security weaknesses." is provided in some way.
