Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş, who made the opening speech at the ceremony, said, “We can say that the Emek-Şehir Hospital line is the first service we received as Bursa through the Ministry of Transport. You contribute to all the work. The ministry carried out the tender. Our fellow citizens had problems along the road route. We surpassed them all. I would especially like to thank you, our general manager, and your teammates for your support and contributions. Work on the University-Görükle Kurtuluş line has also started. In that respect, I thank you for your contributions. We completed the T2 line as Metropolitan. Now, we will compensate for the interruptions at the intersections related to acceleration by making the intersection branches in Beşyol as soon as possible and we will speed up the T2 line. "If possible, our prediction for the new period will be the Çalı-Demirtaş line on the north-south line," he said. At the same time, Mayor Aktaş said, “It is our biggest dream to benefit from you in the Çalı-Demirtaş line work. "When we increase the number of vehicles with the contributions of our ministry and our general directorate, we will be even more relieved when these lines are finished," he said.

“THE PROCESS WILL BE COMPLETED ON MARCH 25”

Thanking the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdülkadir Uraloğlu for his contribution and support, Mayor Aktaş said, “The issue of opening the road here and bringing it from Bursaray to the Ekten Balat section was important. You pointed out mid-March. You gave instructions. We worked hard to prepare the station together with your teammates here. Our fellow citizens may be wondering. If possible, this process will be completed on March 28. In the meantime, test drives will be carried out. We will take over on March 28 and complete this process under your leadership. "After March 28, our fellow citizens will be able to travel uninterruptedly to the Balat section, not to Emek," he said.

“CITY HOSPITAL, THE MOST IMPORTANT BASE IN HEALTH”

In his last speech, Mayor Aktaş touched upon the importance of the City Hospital for Bursa. Mayor Aktaş said, “City Hospital is one of our most important bases in healthcare. We will have completed the City Hospital line towards the end of the second half of 2025 under your leadership. A citizen of ours who rides from Arabayatağı, Osmangazi, Acem will arrive at the door of the City Hospital. Then, we will be able to connect the line that will stop at the high-speed train station to the high-speed train that will go to Bursa and Ankara in a healthier way. "Uninterrupted transportation from Arabayatağı to Balat station is starting, good luck to our Bursa," he said.

Bursa Deputy Mustafa Varank said at the opening ceremony, “Bursa deserves the best of everything. We are trying to make Bursa more beautiful and comfortable with the efforts of all our friends here in our municipalities and government. Today, we are together to complete a new line in our rail systems, one of their best examples. "We will continue these investments," he said.

“RAIL SYSTEM LENGTH WAS 433 KM”

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdülkadir Uraloğlu, said that while connecting our cities to each other with trains under the leadership of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, since 2002, we are also implementing urban rail systems one after another. The length of the urban rail system we built across the country is 433 km. "Dear fellow citizens of Bursa, we implemented the 34-kilometer rail system line in Istanbul this year alone, and we are here today in Bursa. We carried out our rail system works again in Kocaeli over the weekend," he explained. Uraloğlu stated that they continue to operate a total of 47 kilometers of line in Istanbul, Kocaeli and Bursa and said, "I am happy to have completed the Emek-Şehir Hospital and part of the metro line that we implemented in Bursa, between Emek station, Balat station and Balat station." Bursa, the heirloom of Orhangazi and the first great capital of the Ottoman Empire, is one of the leading cities of industry, trade, agriculture and tourism, especially our glorious history. "For this reason, in order to strengthen Bursa's transportation and infrastructure, we have implemented many projects one after another that will carry Bursa into the future, and we will continue on our way from now on." Minister Uraloğlu stated that they have invested 2002 billion lira in the transportation and communication infrastructure in Bursa since 202 and said, “As the Ministry of Transport and infrastructure, we increased our divided length to 609 km. Again, we increased our paved road length to 787 km. We completed our Istanbul-Gebze-Orhangazi Izmir highway. We have completed the Bursa Peripheral Highway, Bursa-İnegöl-Bozüyük-Ankara border road, and the Bursa State Highway İzmir road. We have completed our important routes. We have completed the second stage of the Çalı-Kayapa-Hasanağa road. We will continue our work on the other stages in the coming periods, in cooperation with our Metropolitan Municipality. "Hopefully, we will turn the entire Çalı road, of which 2.9 kilometers of the 14 km divided road is a single road and 16.9 km of which is in service, into a divided road," he said.

“THE BETWEEN ANKARA AND BURSA WILL BE REDUCED TO 2 HOURS AND 15 MINUTES”

Minister Uraloğlu reminded that they have started the work that will add Bursa to the high-speed train network and said, "We will open the operation when we have completed our Bursa Ankara high-speed train line in connection with the Ankara Istanbul high-speed train line at a speed of 200 kilometers per hour." Hopefully we will have achieved this by the end of next year. We are completing a 201 kilometer line. Our work still continues. When we finish our work, we will reduce the time between Ankara and Bursa to 2 hours and 15 minutes, and the time between Bursa and Istanbul to 2 hours and 15 minutes. With the comfort of high-speed trains, undoubtedly one of our most important ongoing transportation projects in Bursa is the Emek-High Speed Train Station-City Hospital light rail system line, known as the City Hospital Metro, which we will inaugurate. Dear fellow countrymen, thanks to our project, the Emek-Arabayatağı metro line, which is currently in operation, will pass through Mudanya Boulevard and reach the high-speed train station and eventually the City Hospital, with the extension we will make, hopefully serving 80 thousand passengers per day with a design speed of 110 km per hour. "May it be beneficial to all our fellow citizens," he said.
