Stating that they will increase the operating speed of the high-speed train line passing through Bilecik to 250 kilometers, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu said, “The entire Alifuatpaşa-Arifiye section of the YHT Line will be operated at a speed of 250 kilometers per hour, thus reducing the travel time on the Ankara-Istanbul YHT Line.” He said it would be 35 minutes shorter.
Expressing that they have made many times more investments in the history of the Republic in 22 years, Uraloğlu emphasized that they have taken important steps with the aim of offering a more comfortable life to citizens, based on President Erdoğan's words: "The road is Civilization, the road is development, the road is growth".
Minister Uraloğlu said that they have invested 2002 billion dollars in Turkey's transportation and communication infrastructure since 275, and 165 billion dollars of this consists of highway investments.
Stating that the length of divided roads, which was 2002 thousand 6 kilometers in 100, increased to 29 thousand 400 kilometers, Uraloğlu said, “Only 6 of our provinces were connected to each other with divided roads, today we have connected 77 provinces to each other with divided roads. We increased our highway length from 714 kilometers to 3 kilometers. We crossed impassable mountains with tunnels and valleys with bridges. "We continue with new highway projects that will carry our country into the future," he said. Noting that they have invested 726 billion 22 million liras for Bilecik's transportation and communication infrastructure in the last 110 years, Uraloğlu said, “We increased the length of the divided road, which was 562 kilometers in 2002, to 21 kilometers. We introduced the people of Bilecik to comfort on the roads by coating 184 kilometers of bituminous hot mixture. We made 231 kilometers of single-road improvements. "Currently, we are at the opening ceremony of the Yenişehir-Bilecik Road in Bilecik, with a project cost of 137 billion lira," he said.
TRAVEL TIME HALFED
Minister Uraloğlu explained that within the scope of the project, they built a 4-lane bituminous hot mixture coated 41,6 kilometer divided road, one 81 meter long bridge junction, and said, "We built 2 158 meter long bridges, 22 at-grade intersections and 9 agricultural underpasses. With the new project we implemented, we eliminated 97 bends. We increased the minimum curve radius from 40 meters to 300 meters, providing a much safer and more comfortable journey. We also halved the transportation time from 51 minutes to 25 minutes. Thus, we will save a total of 162 million lira annually, including 61 million lira from time and 223 million lira from fuel. "We will contribute to the protection of nature by reducing the carbon emissions of vehicles that harm the environment by 4 thousand 356 tons," he said.
Underlining that they connected Bilecik to its neighbors via divided roads, Minister Uraloğlu also announced that the travel time on the Ankara-Istanbul YHT Line will be shortened by 35 minutes.
Emphasizing that they did not forget the railway infrastructure while strengthening Bilecik's road transportation network, Uraloğlu announced that they renewed the entire existing railway infrastructure of Bilecik, including the 96-kilometer line between Pamukova and İnönü.
