Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong, together with Philippine Foreign Minister Enrique Manalo, kicked off the ASEAN-Australia Special Summit 2024 with the opening of the Maritime Cooperation Forum.
Stating that the maritime field is at the center of common interests and common prosperity, Wong said, “I announced that Australia will invest 64 million dollars to strengthen the Southeast Asian Maritime Partnerships. “The new commitment will expand our maritime cooperation and contribute to the security and prosperity of the region, consistent with the priorities of Southeast Asian countries.” made the statement.
