Administrative Penalty of 850 Million TL in Two Years from Commerce!

The Ministry of Commerce, which continues sectoral regulations and inspections in the markets, imposed a fine of 96,8 million liras during market inspections.

The Ministry of Commerce continues to work day and night, with the aim of establishing a fair and competitive domestic market and a stable domestic trade environment, to prevent trade abuse and to ensure the satisfaction of citizens.

In this regard, the Ministry takes the necessary measures against market-distorting and consumer-misleading behavior and continues its fight against exorbitant prices and hoarding with determination.

As a result of the inspections, an administrative fine of 2023 million 135 thousand 103 TL in 257 and 2024 million 77 thousand 71 in 973 was imposed, totaling 212 million 176 thousand 230 TL. As a result of the measures taken in this field, significant progress has been made in preventing activities aimed at disrupting market balance and gaining unfair profits.

The Ministry of Commerce, which continues its market inspections uninterruptedly through the Provincial Directorates of Commerce in 81 provinces, inspected 2023 million 124 thousand 188 products of 4 thousand 21 companies in 80 and imposed an administrative fine of 43 million 864 thousand 96 TL on 851 thousand 871 non-conforming products. In the first two months of 2024, 43 million 590 thousand 1 products of 53 thousand 440 companies were inspected, and an administrative fine of 9 million 117 thousand 34 TL was imposed on 666 thousand 798 non-compliant products.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Commerce, which carries out intensive inspections all over the country against those who do not comply with the regulations for the automotive industry, has inspected 2 thousand 258 companies so far and imposed an administrative fine of 688 million 404 thousand 741 TL on a total of 914 companies. The Ministry fined 338 businesses in the real estate sector.

It was noted that the Ministry of Commerce imposed a total of 2023 million 2024 thousand 848 TL administrative fines in 240 and 387 as a result of the inspection activities carried out within the scope of automotive, real estate, unfair prices, price tags and other domestic trade legislation.
