900 Thousand Passengers Were Transported on Ankara Sivas YHT Line

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu emphasized that they increased the length of the signaled line from 2.505 kilometers to 8.046 kilometers and the length of the electrified line from 2.122 kilometers to 7.142 kilometers.

“We introduced our country to High Speed Train operation, which was our half-century-old dream, and became the 6th high-speed train operator in Europe and the 8th in the world. We overhauled and renewed all of our railways. We built the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway Line, which aims to revitalize the historical Silk Road. With MARMARAY, which passes under the Bosphorus, we have created the safest, shortest and most economical international railway corridor between the Asian and European continents, from London to Beijing. "We have carried approximately 900 thousand passengers since the day it was opened with our Ankara-Sivas High Speed Train line, which we put into service last year."

Türkiye has made significant progress in its railway infrastructure in recent years. With projects such as increasing signaled and electrified line lengths, construction of YHT lines and revitalization of the historical Silk Road, Turkey is on its way to becoming an important actor in railway transportation.
