Manisa Chief Public Prosecutor Kurtça Eker stated that the protocol is a good activity in terms of integrating the convicts into society and said, “It is a project aimed at rehabilitating our convicts. In this sense, we will carry out a good activity to integrate them into society by employing them in a job that is beneficial to the public. In this sense, it will provide good services together with the mobile service of our Metropolitan Municipality. Within the scope of this project, our convicts will provide cleaning, repair and maintenance services to educational institutions, social facilities of the municipality and mosques. Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cengiz Ergün reminded that they had signed such a cooperation before in the protocol.
Noting that they attach importance to probation services, which are an important part of the penal system and play an important role in reintegrating convicts who have been involved in crime in society, Mayor Ergün said, “We have been supporting it since the first day we took office. "I hope that our protocol will lead to probation services being carried out more effectively and efficiently, and I wish it to be beneficial," he said.
