Manisa Metropolitan Municipality, which allocates a huge budget for agricultural and rural development, delivered the fertilizers, which were provided with 50 percent grant support, to Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cengiz Ergün at a ceremony held in Köprübaşı district. At the ceremony, 709 tons of fertilizer were distributed to 170 producers. In his speech at the ceremony, Köprübaşı Mayor and People's Alliance Köprübaşı Mayor Candidate Regaip Topuz thanked Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cengiz Ergün for the support provided to agriculture and farmers in Köprübaşı district, where the majority of producers are located.
“WE PROVIDED 2023 MILLION LIRA SUPPORT TO OUR FARMERS IN 150”
In his speech at the ceremony, Mayor Ergün reminded that they started the 2024 fertilizer distribution ceremony from Manisa and that they will distribute 1850 tons of fertilizer and said, “Today, we continue our support with Köprübaşı. We provided significant support of 2023 million lira to our farmers in 150 alone. Our fertilizer support included in this budget was 2022 tons in total in 2023 and 1.300. When we include this year's 1.850 tons of support, we will distribute a total of 3.150 tons of fertilizer. "I hope my Lord will give us abundant crops," he said.
“OUR SUPPORT TO OUR PRODUCERS WILL CONTINUE”
Stating that they provided various supports in addition to the fertilizer support given, Mayor Ergün said, "In addition to our fertilizer support, 20 greenhouses, 41 Tons of Cereal and Forage Plant Seeds, 260 Agril covers covering an area of 205 decares, and 160 Mulches covering an area of 80 decares have been delivered to Köprübaşı district so far." Nylon, 70 Thousand Fruit Saplings, 10 Thousand 200 Plastic Cases, 3 Thousand 100 Plastic Baskets, 1.700 Grape Exhibition Cloths and Olive Collection Cloths, 57 Breeding Rams, 5 Animal Drinking Water Ponds and 14 Animal Drinking Water. We supported our farmers with Pond Cleaning. With these supports I have mentioned, we have provided support worth 5 Million 55 Thousand Liras to our Köprübaşı farmers so far. I hope these supports will return to our farmers 100 times and 1000 times. We know the value of production and we hold our farmers in high esteem. "May God bless you all," he said.
“WE WILL DELIVER 170 TONS OF FERTILIZER TO OUR PRODUCERS”
Mayor Ergün stated that their support to farmers will continue to increase and said, “Soon, we will deliver 24 tons of fertilizer, for which we allocated a budget of 50 million 709 thousand lira, which will benefit a total of 170 producers. I believe that this contribution, which we will provide with 50 percent grant support from our Metropolitan Municipality, will be an important lifeline. Our support will not be limited to this. The metropolitan city will always support its farmers. I want you to know this.
We started the process of purchasing new machinery and equipment within the scope of our Agricultural Machinery Park Project. We will also provide approximately 10 million liras of support for our neighborhoods and women's cooperatives. Within the scope of our Herd Improvement Project in Small Cattle Breeding, which is one of the projects we carried out in cooperation with our Provincial Directorate of Agriculture, we will provide 250 ram support to our animal breeders this year. We have also started receiving applications regarding this. In addition, we continue to support our bee producers. In this context, we started to receive applications for 'Hive Support for Our Beekeepers'. Following our announcement that we would support 2 thousand hives, we increased our support to 5 thousand hives upon intense demand. We started to deliver 3 thousand milking hygiene sets to our cattle breeders by providing them with training. As we always emphasize: We will be with you with the words of our Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, "The Peasant is the Master of the Nation" and with our productive municipalism approach. "We will produce projects to increase the income of our farmers and contribute to the continuation of production," he said. 
“WE WILL CONTINUE TO STAND BY OUR FARMERS”
Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cengiz Ergün stated that they will continue to support the farmers if the citizens appoint him to office for another 5 years and said, "If you show your kindness and entrust us with this duty to manage our city for another 5 years, we will continue to work in the new period, from beekeeping to the fight against agricultural pests, from supporting cooperatives to agricultural activities." We will continue to support our farmers in whatever they need to contribute to production, from irrigation projects, animal drinking water ponds to cattle and sheep husbandry support, from expansion of the common machinery park to greenhouse cultivation, from applied training programs to Fertilizer, Seed, Sapling, Olive Crate, Celter and Harvest Cover supports. Have no doubt about it. As long as you produce, we will always be with you. Following the speeches, Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cengiz Ergün delivered fertilizers to the producers who were entitled to benefit from fertilizer subsidies.
