Gender and Women's Rights Training in Adana

In partnership with Adana Metropolitan Municipality Women and Family Services Department and Adana Bar Association, women were given training on their current legal rights.

Adana Metropolitan Municipality Women and Family Services Department, in cooperation with Adana Bar Association Women's Rights Center, organized a training titled "Gender and Women's Rights", where women's rights for women were discussed in order to prevent human rights violations.

In the training given to Karaisalı Niyet Academy trainees, a presentation on gender roles was made by a psychologist affiliated with the Department of Women and Family Services.

In the training, attention was drawn to gender roles, gender inequality and the proverbs and idioms that feed this inequality, and the necessary solutions to eliminate inequality were mentioned.

By the lawyers of Adana Bar Association Women's Rights Center; The working mechanisms of violence hotlines for women who have been subjected to violence or who are at risk of violence, especially the Law No. 6284 on the Protection of the Family and the Prevention of Violence Against Women, the Civil Code, the Istanbul Convention and the CEDAW Conventions, were explained.

The training ended after the distribution of information brochures prepared by the Women and Family Services Department and the Adana Bar Association Women's Rights Center and the question and answer session.
