UrfaRay Turns from a Dream into a Reality for the People of Urfa

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu said, "All trade cargo coming from the Far East will go to Europe via our country, starting from FAV Port, from there to Ovaköy, from there to Şanlıurfa, from there to the Aegean Sea up to Kapıkule Border Gate." "We will realize a very important corridor that will open to the Black Sea and the Mediterranean." said.

Minister Uraloğlu examined the connection roads of earthquake residences, production roads and infrastructure works of reserve areas at the 9th Regional Directorate of Highways construction site and received information about the process.

Minister Uraloğlu, who made a statement afterwards, said that Turkey, which was worried about "whether the salaries will be deposited in the bank", has now come to a Turkey that is planning for 2053 and 2071.

URFARAY PROJECT

Underlining that they will continue to do better work under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Minister Uraloğlu stated that they will carry out the program for the UrfaRay project after the Metropolitan Municipality completes its final project.

“WE WILL BUILD A VERY IMPORTANT CORRIDOR THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT PATH”

Stating that Turkey is at a very strategic point between the east and the west, Minister Uraloğlu said:

“We now know that world trade is not only in the east-west corridor, but also the north-south corridors supporting the east-west corridor are progressing very seriously and are on the agenda. For all trade cargo coming from the Far East to Europe via our country, starting from FAV Port to Ovaköy, from there to Şanlıurfa, from there to Kapıkule Border Gate, to the Aegean Sea, the Black Sea and the Mediterranean. We will implement a very important corridor that will be opened. This will of course affect and develop all the trade, employment and everything in Şanlıurfa. We are not just talking about a transportation project here. I underline this, as both highway and railway are primarily railways. Energy transmission lines and communication lines will also be included. The Iraqi side's projects regarding this are about to be completed. Some of our side's projects have been completed, some are ongoing. This year, especially on the Iraqi side, we continue our efforts to get a little ahead and start. We will carry out these projects starting simultaneously in Turkey. “As I said, it will make a very important contribution to the growth and development of the region.”

“WE ELIMINATE THE WOUNDS OF THE EARTHQUAKE”

Reminding that the construction of connection roads to permanent residences in Şanlıurfa, which was affected by the earthquake, was given to the General Directorate of Highways upon the instruction of the President, Uraloğlu said, “We are trying to finish the roads here, hopefully, simultaneously with the completion of the permanent residences. All construction sites have been established, the personnel and machinery park is here. We also carry out all the manufacturing that weather conditions allow. In this way, we will hopefully eliminate the earthquake scars in Şanlıurfa.” said.
