Unemployed people registered with the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR) reached 2 million 300 thousand 827 people in January.

According to İŞKUR data, in January, 49,7 percent of the registered unemployed were men, 50,3 percent were women, and 20,5 percent were in the 15-24 age group.

In December, a total of 65,3 thousand 69 job placements were made through İŞKUR, of which 775 thousand 34,7 were men, corresponding to 37 percent, and 067 thousand 39,9 (106 percent) were women, corresponding to 822 percent.

In January 2024, İŞKUR mediated job placement for 37 thousand 67 women, 31 thousand 894 young people, 2 thousand 770 disabled people and 20 thousand 455 higher education graduates.

In January 2024, by sector, the highest number of job placements were in the "manufacturing" industry sector; According to professions, the highest number of job placements were made in the professions of "private security officer (unarmed), sales consultant/expert and tourism and hotel management personnel" respectively.
