Veysi Kurt, who was appointed as the General Manager and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD), started his duty with a ceremony held at the TCDD General Directorate on February 23, 2024.
Veysi Kurt took over from Hasan Pezük at the ceremony attended by Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Enver İskurt. Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister İskurt thanked Hasan Pezük for his devoted work and services to the railways and wished Veysi Kurt success in his new position. Veysi Kurt started his duty by respectfully commemorating everyone who served the railways from past to present. Veysi Kurt, who thanked President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for deeming them worthy of this position, underlined that they will work tirelessly to move the railways forward.
