Ship Captain Training in Şanlıurfa, which has no sea!

Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality ensured that the Ship Ship Management and Management Certificate exam, which was previously held in Mersin, was held in Şanlıurfa and its district Halfeti, in order to ensure safe transportation and fishing in inland waters. Candidates who were successful in the exam held with the participation of approximately 100 people in the Halfeti district of Şanlıurfa, which has no sea, were entitled to receive a certificate.

Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Services Department Inland Waters Branch Directorate launched the 'Ship Dispatch, Administration Certificate Training and Examination', which was initiated jointly with Mersin Port Authority affiliated to the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Communications, for citizens who want to use sightseeing, fishing, ferry, passenger boats and private ships. After the written exam, a practical exam was held in Halfeti district.

The way to the certificate, which is valid in all inland waters of Turkey, is through the Ship Ship Management and Management Certificate course and exam given by Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality. Interest in the course, which was held for the 4th time, was quite high. Participants attended the course from neighboring provinces Adıyaman, Gaziantep, Diyarbakır and their districts.

It was noteworthy that women also took part in the exam, which included participation from districts such as Siverek, Suruç, Bozova, Birecik, Hilvan and Halfeti, as well as from surrounding provinces such as Adıyaman, Batman and Gaziantep. Trainees who completed the 2-day training and exams were entitled to receive a Ship Dispatch and Administration Certificate.

Stating that they were pleased that the practical training was held in Şanlıurfa, the citizens noted that they were saved from having to go to Mersin and thanked the Metropolitan Mayor Zeynel Abidin Beyazgül.

After the Ship Ship Management and Management Certificate exam, Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Services Department Inland Waters Branch Manager Ahmet Çoban and his companions Tolga Güler, Kemal Tezcan, who works as an Engineer at Mersin Port Authority, and Training Officer Adnan Özdemir carried out inspections on some boats at Halfeti Marina.

Following the evaluation of Mersin Port Authority, the distribution of Ship Dispatch and Administration Documents to the successful citizens will be made by the Inland Waters Transportation Branch Directorate of the Transportation Department.
