Erzurum Technical University (ETÜ) Faculty of Sports Sciences students won 4 gold medals at the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) Cup held in Cedars Ski Center in Lebanon.
A student of ETÜ Faculty of Sports Sciences, Department of Coaching Education, who participated in the FIS Cup on behalf of the National Cross-Country Team; Yusuf Emre Fırat won both races in the senior category and won the gold medal.
Competing in the youth category, Physical Education and Sports Teaching student Civan Karaman was the first to cross the finish line in both races he participated in and won the gold medal.
ETÜ Rector Prof. congratulated the champion athletes after the competitions. Dr. Bülent Çakmak said, “Our athletes started 2024 very well. Our athletes trained at our university make our country and us proud by reaching the first step of the podium in the international competitions they participate in. "On this occasion, I wholeheartedly congratulate our athletes Yusuf Emre and Civan, who returned from the FIS Cup with 4 gold medals, and wish them continued success," he said.
