Tunç SoyerIn addition to Izmir Metropolitan Municipality General Secretary Barış Karcı, ESHOT General Manager Erhan Bey and ESHOT managers attended.

At the meeting, President Soyer thanked the entire management and staff for ESHOT's successes and said, "I spent my childhood in this city. ESHOT drivers have an important mark on my life. I used to envy the way my father and the driver exchanged greetings as soon as we got on the bus. ESHOT is a very valuable institution not only for Izmir but also for Türkiye. The great successes mentioned are not something that occurred by chance. No municipality in Turkey has been able to add 692 vehicles to its fleet in 5 years. There are probably no 180 female drivers in any municipality. "No matter how you look at it, it is clear why it is an institution that makes Turkey proud," he said.

“ESHOT is a very bright face for Türkiye”

Stating that this success is not a coincidence, Mayor Soyer said, “There is a corporate identity behind 80 years of history. This corporate identity brings a sense of belonging and love. This is the most valuable of all. When you say it is an 80-year-old institution, there is no need to say anything else. Establishing a structure that has stood on its feet for 80 years and constantly renews itself and moves forward is a tremendous success. ESHOT is a very bright and hopeful face for Türkiye. "I have to say that ESHOT's corporate identity is an institution that enlightens people and gives hope," he said.

“This is the meaning of life for me”

Mayor Soyer stated that he will continue to work to improve Turkey and Izmir and said, “This story does not end here. We all have concerns and beliefs about this country. I have always been concerned about what more we can do for this country. Politics is neither a profession nor a tool, just a passion. It is a passion that arises from believing in the beautiful future of this country and knowing that it is possible. How can I contribute until my last breath? Life has a meaning for everyone, this is the meaning of life for me. I am immensely proud and will never give up. I always thought politics was an art about improving life. "Wherever it is possible to do good work in that art, I will work for it," he said.

Mayor Soyer said, “Unfortunately, we are going through a very dark period. At that point, there is nothing stronger than hugging and holding on to each other. The best thing you can do to move this beautiful institution and this beautiful city forward is to embrace each other and work together. I ask you to never give up. I hope this relationship will continue; Let's continue to be proud. "I have been proud of ESHOT in 5 years," he said.

“You have been the lifeline to the roots of our 80-year-old ESHOT”

With the 196 vehicles we purchased for İZTAŞIT, we have crowned your target of 500 buses in İzmir with 692 buses. The total investment cost of these buses is equivalent to 4,5 billion. We have made an investment of 150 million dollars. The fleet change took place with your vision and support for us. You have been the lifeline to the roots of our 80-year-old ESHOT. You have provided us with all kinds of support. I would like to thank you for the value and contributions you have shown us so far with your polite and tolerant nature. "I think we left a very nice mark on Izmir with your support," he said.
