Children from Diyarbakır Continue to Make History

The "Children Making History" project, which was implemented under the auspices of Diyarbakır Governorship and under the coordination of the Metropolitan Municipality and the Provincial Directorate of National Education, continues.

The project, which aims to help Diyarbakır children get to know valuable historical figures instead of virtual and fake heroes and to gain national awareness, includes many activities, from books to activities, letters to theater performances.

Within the scope of the project, the "Children Who Made History" series of 100 books, which includes the lives of important figures who have become public figures with their achievements and experiences in history, were taught to students at Raif Türk Primary School located in Bağcılar District of Bağlar district, in line with the determined plan.

At the event held in the school theater hall, children exhibited what they learned and had fun by taking on the characters of the heroes they read about and performing animations.

The event ended after the children took a group photo with their teachers.

Fourth grade student Ali Emre Bayer, who played Nasreddin Hodja, said that they had a nice event.

Bayer said:

“It was a really nice event. Because we can very easily learn about a character we take as an example, like, and love. It was a very fun event. “We felt like we were in the shoes of the character we played.”

Third grade student Nisanur Çam stated that he learned a lot from the books he read thanks to the project and that he was very happy.

Third grade student Enes Yalçın stated that he played Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and that he was very happy.

Yalçın: “It is a very nice project. I played the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal. He is both the founder of our country and our first president. It is truly an honor to take part in this project. “I would like to thank everyone who prepared the Children Who Made History project.”
