Another Stage of Necmettin Erbakan Street was Put into Service in Konya

Konya Metropolitan Municipality completed the first stage of Necmettin Erbakan Street, which is 3 kilometers long and consists of 3,5 stages, and put it into service.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that one of the most important road investments they have recently implemented in the city center is Necmettin Erbakan Street.

Emphasizing that they have made a greater progress in an important work for Konya, Mayor Altay said, “We opened the third stage of our street, which consists of three stages, to traffic last month. We have completed the work between Fatih Street and Eski Meram Street, which is the first stage of our 3,5-kilometer Necmettin Erbakan Street, which will connect to Antalya Ring Road, starting from Fatih Street, via Azerbaijan Street and Gaza Street, and we have opened this part of the street to traffic as of today. This section has a width of 9 meters, with double lanes for both going and coming. "Hopefully, we aim to complete the remaining part of the street in the spring months," he said.

Noting that the street, which will provide uninterrupted transportation in the Meram region, will significantly ease urban transportation, Mayor Altay said, “We are happy to bring a total of 400 million lira of work to Konya, including approximately 100 million lira of expropriation cost and 500 million lira of infrastructure and asphalt cost. He concluded his speech with the words "I hope it will be beneficial for our city."
