Altınordu Dock, which has served many cargo ships and cruise ships for more than half a century and whose port activities were stopped in 2017 after completing its economic life, Metropolitan Mayor Dr. It is being mobilized again under the leadership of Mehmet Hilmi Güler. With the investment made in Ünye, Altınordu dock also comes to life, just like the port that opens to the world with Ro-Ro, cruise and container ships.

Making a statement about the project, Mayor Güler said, "The project has been completed, cruise ships will be able to dock here as in Ünye."

THE DOCK AND PIER WILL BE EXTENDED

Within the scope of Altınordu Dock Rehabilitation Project, the existing 270-meter-long dock will be strengthened and an additional 140-meter dock will be built, turning it into a 410-meter dock and pier. The project, which will be created on a total area of ​​3 thousand 900 square meters, will also include areas where yachts and passenger boats will be located.

Stating that Altınordu Pier will become suitable for cruise ships with the investment to be made, Mayor Güler stated that this project will be an important investment for Ordu.

Mayor Güler said: “Cruise ships are now coming to Ünye along with Ro-Ro ships. We will do the same thing by extending the Altınordu dock. The project is completed, it's over. With this project, cruise ships will be able to dock at Altınordu dock, just like in Ünye. In the new period, we will work quickly here to expand the port and do all the work necessary for cruise tourism. We carried out these studies at Ünye Port. We will do these at the port in our Altınordu district. “This will be an important investment both for our city and for the future.”
