Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality stands by the earthquake victims with its social municipality approach. A year has passed since the February 6 earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş, called the disaster of the century. In 11 different cities where the pain is still fresh, those bitter feelings remain as fresh as the first day. The heroic Search and Rescue Team of Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality was with the earthquake victims on the first anniversary of the pain, as on February 6.
The team visited the Sakarya Container City in Kahramanmaraş, delivered various aid to the earthquake victims, and 1 year later, they hugged and commemorated the earthquake victims whose wounds they bandaged. On the anniversary, when it gave the message "You are not alone" to each earthquake victim, the Metropolitan Municipality showed again that those who experienced the pain of the earthquake will understand it best.
GIFT SETS FOR STUDENTS
Educational sets were gifted to secondary school and undergraduate students at the Sakarya Container City, which was established with containers sent under the auspices of Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality in Kahramamaraş, where the Metropolitan Municipality went to give hope on the anniversary of the earthquake. The children who were most affected by the disaster and who encountered such a disaster in their tiny world were not forgotten either.
MEDICAL SUPPORT
Search and Rescue teams put a smile on the faces of children with deep wounds by giving them various toys and gifts. Metropolitan Search and Rescue teams provided adult diapers, orthopedic beds and fresh air machines for citizens who survived the earthquake.
