'Africa' Statement from Minister Uraloğlu

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu will pay an official visit to Djibouti on 5-4 February 6 to attend the 2024th Term Meeting of the Turkey-Djibouti Joint Economic Commission.

Minister Uraloğlu will attend the 5th Term Meeting of the Turkey-Djibouti Joint Economic Commission on Monday, February 5, after his bilateral meeting with Djibouti Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mahmoud Ali Youssouf.

At the meeting, the Turkish delegation will be chaired by the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Turkey Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, and the Djibouti Delegation will be chaired by Djibouti Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mahmoud Ali Youssouf.

At the 5th Term Meeting of the Turkey-Djibouti Joint Economic Commission, ways to increase and develop existing commercial and economic relations between Turkey and Djibouti on the basis of common benefit principles will be reviewed.

In addition to discussing issues such as improving the investment environment and completing the legal framework, work will be done on developing existing cooperation areas and identifying new cooperation opportunities in areas such as agriculture, water, youth and sports, education, health, science, energy and mining, environment and urban planning, and transportation. .

Minister Uraloğlu will be received by Djibouti President Ismail Omar Guelleh after the 5th Term Meeting of the KEK.

Uraloğlu, together with the Minister of Agriculture, Water, Fisheries and Livestock Mohammed Ahmed Awaleh, one of the most important projects carried out for the development of Djiboutin.

He will attend the official opening ceremony of the Türkiye-Djibouti Friendship Dam.
