237 Students Visited Sarıgöl AAT in Manisa

The project was implemented in cooperation with Manisa Water and Sewerage Administration (MASKİ) General Directorate and Manisa Provincial Directorate of National Education, in order for students studying in Manisa center and districts to examine and learn the purification processes of water in wastewater treatment plants and its healthy discharge to nature. Within the scope of the project, 237 students studying in Sarıgöl district, together with their teachers, were hosted by authorized personnel at Sarıgöl Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Facility.

STUDENTS LIKED THE FACILITY VERY MUCH
Wastewater treatment processes were explained to students and teachers by authorized personnel. Detailed information was given about the process from the arrival of water from households to the facility and its discharge to the nature after being purified. Students who followed the process with interest and examined the units of the facility also had the opportunity to ask questions they were curious about. Students really liked the facility that was recently added to the district. Additionally, students were given information about the professional groups working in wastewater treatment plants. At the end of the program, MABEM Card, one of the new education services of the Metropolitan Municipality, was given to the students as a gift.
