IETT, affiliated with Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, broke a record in terms of transparency. 2023 percent of the total amount of tenders held in 99,5 was realized by open tender method. This figure was at 2019 percent in 74.
IETT, the long-established institution of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, continues its new services for Istanbul, especially new vehicle investments. IETT, which provides public transportation services to Istanbulites 7 hours a day, 24 days a week, in every part of the city, is only 99 meters away from 500 percent of Istanbulites.
RECORD IN TRANSPARENCY
Continuing its work in line with the principles of transparency, openness and public interest, IETT carried out 2023 different tenders and direct procurement in 120.
8,6 percent of these transactions, worth 99,5 billion TL, were carried out openly, in accordance with the Public Procurement Authority legislation, transparently and in a way that all bidders could participate. In 2019, this figure was at 74 percent.
GIANT BUDGET OF 29 BILLION TL
While more than one institution provides such a great service in different metropolises of the world, IETT in Istanbul provides it alone with its 153 years of deep-rooted history and experience. To provide these services, IETT manages a budget of approximately 29 billion TL annually.
