First Word from Space: The Future is in the Sky!

SpaceX broadcast live the first feelings and thoughts of the Ax-36 team in the Dragon capsule, which started its 3-hour journey towards the International Space Station, on its X account.

Gezeravcı's first words in space were, "I would like to start this moment with the words of our Great Atatürk, when the first Turk stepped into space for Turkey's first manned space mission: The genius word of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of our Republic of Turkey; "The future is in the sky."

On the other hand, the Turkish Space Agency also republished Gezeravcı's words on its social media account, quoting them as "the most beautiful words that can be said in outer space."

The Dragon capsule, which also carries the first Turkish astronaut Gezeravcı, is expected to arrive at the International Space Station on Saturday, January 20, at 13.15 in Turkey local time (05.15 in the morning on Saturday in the USA local time).
