İZSU Renewed the Drinking Water Network in Küçük Menderes

In line with the uninterrupted drinking water target of İZSU General Directorate, a total of 84 kilometers of main network lines and 8,5 kilometers of branch lines were renewed in the works carried out in Menderes, Torbalı and Selçuk. Thanks to the investments in the basin, water losses in three districts were prevented.

İZSU General Directorate renewed the drinking water network and branch connections in various neighborhoods of Menderes, Torbalı and Selçuk in order to reduce loss and illegality rates in the Küçük Menderes Basin and to provide a more efficient drinking water service. İZSU teams manufactured 23 thousand 500 meters of main pipe in Menderes. Within the scope of the work, 2 thousand 800 meters of branch connections and 22 valve connections were made and 111 main pipe faults were resolved.

Within the scope of the works in Torbalı, İZSU teams fixed 214 network faults and completed the production of 37 thousand meters of main pipes. 500 meters of new water connections were made, along with 2 meters of branch connections. In Selçuk, 100 thousand meters of main pipe manufacturing was completed, as well as 5 thousand meters of branch connections.

There will be no water problem in the basin

While İZSU officials stated that infrastructure investments will continue in the Menderes Basin, they underlined that they aim to increase drinking water efficiency and minimize malfunctions throughout the basin.
