In the last year, the fire brigade caused 3 house, workplace, forest, scrub and nursery, chimney, vehicle, woodshed, garden and grass fires, 510 traffic accidents, 790 animal rescues, 150 drowning incidents, 12 floods and 478 fires. A total of 2 incidents, including 107 other activities, were intervened.
Following the disaster of the century that we experienced on February 6 last year, the Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department shows great sensitivity in preventing any negativities in Container Cities during the winter months of 2024 and preventing loss of life and property. The Fire Department provides fire training in many container cities in line with the demands of the training units. Warning posters regarding the use of fire extinguishers and possible fire precautions were also hung in container cities.
The Metropolitan Fire Brigade, which regularly carries out vocational training and physical sports activities within itself, in this direction; It was stated that first aid training, basic firefighter training, search and rescue training, crime scene investigation training, underwater diving training, working at height training and tunnel fire training were received.
