Hours Left Until Turkey's Space Adventure

 Türkiye is taking a critical step in its space adventure. The first manned space mission in the history of the Republic will be carried out in the state of Florida.

Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, the youngest member of parliament Zehranur Aydemir and a delegation consisting of scientists went to the USA.

Those breath-holding moments will be watched from the squares in many cities, especially Istanbul and Ankara.

The studies will be carried out in coordination with TUBITAK Space, Axiom Space and NASA.

Gezeravcı will be accompanied by 3 more astronauts from different countries in Axiom Space's "Ax-3" mission. These people were identified as mission leader Michael Lopez-Alegria, representing the USA and Spain, Pilot Walter Villadei from the Italian Air Force, and Swedish Marcus Wandt on behalf of the European Space Agency.

Docking with the International Space Station will take place on Friday, January 19 at 13.15.

With this step, the first manned space mission of the Turkish National Space Program will achieve its goal.
