On October 23, 2023, Alstom was awarded a contract worth €96 million by Israel Railways (ISR) for the production of 260 double-deck wagons. With this development, ISR will be able to operate eight-car trains with a total capacity of over 1200 seats. The contract was signed on January 23, 2024, and Alstom's share is estimated at €260 million. The contract includes the option to order additional double-deck wagons and product development to enable 10-car trainset operation.
